About Me

Suyin Jordan

Founding Doula

IBCLC, RGN, RM, CPD, CLSP

Hi, I’m Suyin,

My journey into lactation support is both deeply personal and profoundly professional.

I wasn’t breastfed myself, but when I became a parent, I knew I wanted something different for my children. As I learned more about the powerful health benefits of breastfeeding for both babies and parents, it became about so much more than feeding. It became about connection, long-term health, and giving my children the strongest possible start in life.

I went on to breastfeed my two children for a combined total of more than five years. Like many families, my journey wasn’t always easy, but those experiences shaped who I am today — both as a parent and as a Lactation Consultant. They gave me not only knowledge, but also deep empathy and understanding for the very real challenges families can face.

Being born to a family that had a strong family history of high blood pressure and Type 2 Diabetes, I was motivated to make intentional choices about my health and my children’s future. Breastfeeding became one meaningful way I could help shift that path — for myself and for the next generation.

Today, as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Registered Nurse, Midwife trained in the UK, and Postpartum Doula, I bring more than 20 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. I have worked in clinical, community, and home settings, supporting families through everything from the very first latch to more complex feeding challenges.

I support all feeding journeys and all families — whether you are breastfeeding, chestfeeding, exclusively pumping, combination feeding, or formula feeding. My role is to provide evidence-informed guidance, compassionate care, and non-judgemental support so you can make decisions that feel right for you and your baby.

I am deeply passionate about improving the health of our communities — one family at a time — while honouring that every feeding journey is unique. Because when we support parents and caregivers, we support babies. When we support babies, we help build healthier futures for families, communities, and generations to come.

My approach is gentle, practical, and centered entirely around you. My goal is to help you feel confident, informed, and supported — every step of the way.

You were never meant to do this alone. And you don’t have to.
